Important: Credits are digital platform units and are not cash. Completed purchases are generally final, although eligible platform failures or approved cancellations may result in credit restoration.

1. Overview

ScrapRunnerNYC uses digital credits for certain paid actions, including posting scrap, promoting listings, sending priority notifications, claiming eligible work, or using future premium features.

The number of credits required will be shown before the action is completed.

2. Purchasing credits

Credit packages are purchased through ScrapRunnerNYC checkout and may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider.

By purchasing credits, you authorize the payment processor to charge the payment method provided for the amount displayed at checkout.

3. Nature of credits

  • Credits are digital platform units and are not money or legal tender.
  • Credits have no cash value outside ScrapRunnerNYC.
  • Credits may not be redeemed for cash.
  • Credits may not be sold or transferred unless ScrapRunnerNYC expressly permits it.
  • Promotional credits may have separate limits or expiration rules.

4. When credits are deducted

Credits are deducted when a paid action is successfully completed. A deduction may be linked to the specific ScrapSighting, RemovalRequest, claim, promotion, or other action that caused it.

5. Credit restoration

ScrapRunnerNYC may restore credits when a paid action fails because of a confirmed platform error, a duplicate debit is confirmed, ScrapRunnerNYC cancels a transaction through no fault of the user, or an administrator approves a restoration.

An unclaimed post may qualify for restoration if it is canceled before the platform has delivered the paid service, subject to the posting policy in effect at the time.

6. When credits are not restored

  • The listing already produced a claim, accepted offer, dispatch, priority notification, or other paid benefit.
  • The user changes their mind after receiving the paid feature.
  • The user voluntarily releases, abandons, misses, or fails to complete a pickup.
  • The listing or account violates ScrapRunnerNYC policies.
  • The user misrepresented the material, location, ownership, licensing, or work required.
  • The dispute is between users and was not caused by a ScrapRunnerNYC system error.

7. Chargebacks and reversals

If a payment is disputed, reversed, charged back, canceled, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid, ScrapRunnerNYC may remove the related credits and restrict the account until the balance is corrected.

8. Expiration

Unless otherwise stated at purchase, purchased credits do not expire while the account remains active and in good standing. Promotional credits may expire under the promotion terms.

9. Credit disputes

To dispute a transaction, contact support with the account phone number, transaction date, related listing or claim number, and a description of the issue.
